1960s band, The Zombies, will be playing the main stage on Saturday at the Isle of Wight Festival this summer.
Their UK hit was the truly classic, She’s Not There, which was released in mid-1964 and peaked at number 12 (there must have been a load of great songs around for it not to go higher). It was their only track to break the UK Top 40.
They, like many English bands of that period, went to the US and enjoyed tons of young things screaming their heads off at them. Tell Her No was also a big single for them in the US.
They reformed in 2004 with two of the original band members, Rod Argent and lead localist, Colin Blunstone.
They played their 40th anniversary concert in 2008 and appear to the touring with all of the original members now on their Odessey and Oracle tour – The Finale.
