There’s been a couple of false starts on who might or might not be playing this year’s Isle of Wight Festival.
Looks like as well as the previous announcement of The Prodigy headlining the Friday night, there’s a confirmation on another one of the headliners – Stereophonics.
The Stereophonics will be closing the main stage on Saturday, with the festival being their only UK festival appearance.
Stereophonics front man Kelly Jones said: “The Isle of Wight festival is gonna be a great weekend. We’re recording most of the 1st half of this year, so to step out of the studio and headline the festival this year with it being even bigger than when we played it several years ago, will be a highlight for us! It’s gonna be rocking. Enough to make a bulldog wanna snap his chain!”
Top notch work from VB mates Virtual Festivals on getting this story.
UPDATE: Well done too to IW Radio for getting John Giddings on at 8am this morning to chat about it (Thanks to Tom Stroud for the heads up)
