With less than a month to go to this year’s Isle of Wight Literary Festival, it’s time to make sure you get your tickets.
Featured authors and headline events
Many of the events are already showing limited availability, so the message from organisers is simple: get in now before tickets are gone.
The festival is being held in Cowes from 8th-11th October 2026, with Northwood House again as its headquarters.
There are lots of top authors coming along, including Sophie Raworth, Celia Imrie, Larry Lamb, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, Clare Balding, Amanda Barrie, Ann Cleeves, Clive Tyldesley and Mary Portas.
Specialist talks and themed sessions
But it is not just about the headliners.
There are also fascinating talks from authors specialising in military history, royalty, fossils and much more.
Special events and experiences
Then there are the special events such as The Seabourn Ruby Afternoon Tea, where former royal butler Grant Harrold will talk about royal etiquette, a musical evening with Cowes resident and G4 singer Mike Christie, a session on Scotch whisky with expert Ian Buxton and wine tasting with TV’s Helen McGinn.
LitFeast kitchen demonstrations
The LitFeast kitchen at Northwood House on 10th October, sponsored by HTP Apprenticeship College, will feature demonstrations by Michelin-starred chef Chris Galvin, Great British Bake Off finalist Miranda Gore Browne and French pâtissier extraordinaire Eric Lanlard.

Maggie Ankers, chair of the festival, said,
“Tickets are going really well. Many of the events will sell out, and we don’t want people to be disappointed.
