Isle of Wight small business owners invited to free webinar to help improve sleep and wellbeing

As part of the Solent Local Enterprise Partnership’s (LEP) commitment to put health and wellbeing at the heart of the region’s economic success, the LEP is running a free webinar on Improving Your Sleep and Wellbeing.

It takes place on Tuesday 23rd November between 09:30 – 10:30 and will support the mental and physical health of those running small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Solent area.

Helping create a positive and lasting impact for future success
SJ Hunt, Deputy Chair of the Solent Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and Chair of the Solent LEP’s Business Task Force, said,

“For small business owners, it can sometimes be difficult to switch off from the responsibility of running a business and relax. This can impact on sleep and general wellbeing, and eventually on business performance, starting a cycle of worry.

“Helping people understand how to improve their own wellbeing, and that of their teams, both in the immediate future and through longer term solutions, can create a positive and lasting impact for future success.”

Support for small business owners
The Solent LEP has partnered with the Federation for Small Businesses (FSB) to provide a package of support for small business owners to help their mental health and wellbeing.

This webinar on Improving Sleep and Wellbeing will be run by Sleep Expert and former NHS Biomedical scientist NHS Marian Timms and will combine her scientific knowledge and passion to help people sleep, understand why sleep is important, what goes wrong when we don’t sleep long enough or well enough, and five top tips to kick start a journey to better sleep.

Improving mental and physical wellbeing
Christine Husbands from FSB Care, provider of Solent Business Wellbeing Support, will also be on hand to explain how FSB Care’s team of nurses can help business owners with both their mental and physical wellbeing through one-to-one support, resources and even face-to-face therapies funded by the Solent LEP.
