Due to industrial action by ASLEF members on Wednesday 6th December 2023, an extremely limited service will operate on a small number of South Western Railway lines, with most of the network closed. Included in the list of services affected is Island Line.
South Western Railway advise passengers to only travel if absolutely necessary. If you must travel (on the Mainland), check your entire journey before you set off.
On Wednesday 6th December, ASLEF members at Southeastern, Southern and Gatwick Express will also be taking strike action, and other operators may also be affected by industrial action.
Limited services
Services will only run on these routes:
- London Waterloo to Basingstoke
- London Waterloo to Woking
- London Waterloo to Guildford via Woking
- London Waterloo to Feltham via Twickenham
- Basingstoke to Salisbury
There will be no services to stations such as Bournemouth, Exeter, Portsmouth, Reading, Southampton, Staines, Windsor and Yeovil, or on the Island Line.
