It’s a busy week for Isle of Wight music as yet another Island-born band (now living in Southampton) get ready to launch their debut album.
Luna Carina are Jacob Smith on guitar, bass guitar, synth and production and Jack Print on guitar (and artwork). Their debut album, titled Lily, is out this Friday (8th April).
The 14-track album includes production from Islander Guy Page (Studio 5a and Coach Party) and features guest appearances from the likes of Josh Mobaraki (Wet Leg) as well as collaborators from around the world.
Strong Island connections
Both band members are from the Island and Jacob is an ex-Platform One Masters student who has been involved in various bands.
He’s worked with artists on the Isle of Wight over the last ten years including; Nakamarra, Sexy Pretty Things, Ecsess, Vyne, Greg Barnes, Lewis Shepperd, Jaz Connell, Jazzy Heath and many others.
Jack works as a graphic designer under the name Cosmic Rabbit and you might have seen some of his great poster designs for Isle of Wight gigs over the years.
