Young individuals on the Island with aspirations in theatre, singing, dancing and other performing arts have a new reason to celebrate.
Theatretrain Isle of Wight, based in Ryde, recently shared that it can now accept childcare vouchers and tax-free childcare payments.
Becoming an accredited provider
Gaining Ofsted registration as a childcare provider enhances Theatretrain Isle of Wight’s credibility.
This status complements its recognition as a registered Tax-free Childcare provider.
Understanding the Tax-Free Childcare Scheme
The Tax-Free Childcare initiative is available throughout the UK.
Parents who meet the criteria with children under the age of 12 can receive up to £2,000 annually for each child to cover childcare expenses. The amount increases to £4,000 for parents of disabled children under 17.
To utilise this scheme, parents create an online childcare account, from which they can directly fund their local Theatretrain Company.
Caudle: Very welcome news for us as a performing arts company
Julie Caudle, the company director at Theatretrain Isle of Wight – one of 80 branches in the UK – shared her views on this recent development.
She said,
“This is obviously very welcome news for us as a performing arts company, as it underlines our commitment to quality, rigorous processes and best practice when it comes to looking after our young people.
“However, what is more important, given the challenges that many families face right now, is that this opens up the performing arts to everyone. We want as many children as possible on the Isle of Wight who want to explore the performing arts to be able to do so.”
Caudle: Come and join us for a trial.
Julie invites everyone,
“There’s never been a better time to become part of a Theatre Training Company that inspires, entertains and has FUN so come and join us for a trial.”
