Multi-award winning Isle of Wight song writing duo, Rhain Teasdale and Hester Chambers of Wet Leg, have been named Songwriters of the Year in The Ivors.
Formerly known as the Ivor Novello Awards, The Ivors are awards for songwriting and composing.
Rhian and Hester found themselves among industry greats such as Blondie and Chris Stein, Sting and James.

Sharing the news on social media, they said,
“What the fudge we’ve just won songwriters of the year. Thank you to the The Ivors Academy Amazon Music UK and thank you to our friends, our families, our partners and our furniture 🪑”
The band are currently on tour with Harry Styles, playing Coventry and Edinburgh next week, before heading off to Europe prior to playing Wembley Stadium gigs in June.
