The International Charity Classic Car Extravaganza, now in its eleventh year, was again well-attended both by owners of interesting cars and the public last weekend.
Held on Newport Quay on Saturday, then Ryde Esplanade on Sunday, the Isle of Wight Classic Car Show, as it’s more usually known, did particularly well for the weather on Saturday, with the sun blazing down.
Over the two days, the organisers estimated there were 600-700 cars with around 150 of those coming from around the Island. There are a growing number of cars that split their time between the Goodwood event on the same weekend and the Island.
Filling Island hotels
The organiser, Vic Gallucci, continues his quest to bring car owners to the Isle of Wight and join Island enthusiasts, doing his bit in filling Island hotels, with him telling us many of those attending had already booked their next year’s accommodation at this year’s show.
Entry to both events are free to the public, with money raised on the first day going to St Catherine’s School, Ventnor and the Sunday’s, to Earl Mountbatten Hospice.
Photos from Sunday
We popped along on the Sunday to grab a slice of the cars that were there. Hope you enjoy them.
