Congratulations to Islander Jessika Hilton for capturing the attention of the judges of the Hampshire and IW Wildlife Trust’s photo competition with this beautiful shot of a grasshopper.
Jessika’s shot was chosen as the best in the Insect category with judge Chris Packham saying, “The enigmatic grasshopper takes the biscuit. Mildly abstract, unusual, peeping and most importantly a familiar, everyday subject portrayed in a surprising and attractive way. Top marks. I love the total green-ness!”
Not only that, she also won overall prize for best photo across all 12 categories.
