Channel 5’s series about the Isle of Wight, Jewel of the South, has been so well received that two more episodes have been commissioned.
News OnTheWight has helped the production company to connect with Islanders for the additional two episodes, which air on 30th March and 6th April.
Featured this week
This week, episode four of the show features Deputy Lieutenant and former High Sheriff and beekeeper extraordinaire, Mary Case (pictured).

If you miss the show and want to catch up afterwards you can do so via the Channel 5 Website or App.
Already attracting visitors
Whilst out walking last weekend and the one before, the News OnTheWight team bumped into visitors both times who had popped over for a short break on the Island having seen the series.
Both couples said they’d visited before, but told us the series had reminded them of just how beautiful the Island is.
Neither couple were disappointed with what they found, saying wonderful things about the landscape and people they’d encountered.
