Joe Carstairs’ extraordinary life hits the stage at Quay Arts for three nights: Watch BBC feature

Tonight (Wednesday) sees the first of three nights of shows at Quay Arts by local theatre company, StoneCrabs.

They will be telling to remarkable story of Joe Carstairs. This captivating theatrical production had great reviews in London and takes place on the Island for just three nights, 3rd to 5th July 2024.

Born Marion to wealthy American parents, Joe Carstairs, a gay powerboat racer who lived on the Island in the 1920s, was known as the ‘fastest woman on water’. She worked with Sam Saunders and then had her own boatyard in East Cowes and lived proudly and authentically.

The show has received critical acclaim from the London run, so book now for your tickets via the Quay Arts Box Office. It shows Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 7.30pm each night.
