Katy Taylor, Wightlink CEO from August 2024

Katy Taylor takes the helm at Wightlink, bringing a wave of experience from Southern Water

Katy Taylor will become Wightlink Chief Executive Officer from Monday 19th August 2024. This follows Keith Greenfield’s retirement from the Isle of Wight ferry company after nine years at the helm.

Katy joins from Southern Water, where she has been Chief Customer Officer since 2021. Previously, she was Chief Customer and Strategy Officer at international bus and train operator Go-Ahead Group, which includes Isle of Wight bus company Southern Vectis.

Taylor: Delighted to be joining
Katy says,

“Having visited the Isle of Wight in my previous roles over the past 12 years, I am looking forward to spending more time on the Island, both for business and pleasure.

“I am delighted to be joining the Solent’s leading ferry operator as it transforms its business to meet future challenges, including decarbonising its ships and shore facilities to meet Net Zero Targets and building greater links with the local communities.”

Greenfield: It has been a privilege to lead the Wightlink team
Outgoing CEO Keith Greenfield comments,

“Over the last nine years, we have invested in our fleet and ports and brought in England’s first hybrid energy ferry Victoria of Wight. Most importantly, I was pleased that our customers recognised the progress we have made by voting Wightlink the Best UK Ferry Operator in 2023 at the British Travel Awards.

“It has been a privilege to lead the Wightlink team and I have enjoyed every minute. The company is in good shape for the future, and it is the right time for me to hand over to Katy to achieve even more in the years to come.”
