Another day on the Isle of Wight and news of another fundraising event.
Islander Kevin Pocock has been in touch to let VB readers know about a 100km trek he’s planning across the desert in aid of Help For Heroes.
He’s planning the trip to the Sahara desert in October in order to raise awareness and reach a target of £2,700 for the charity.
Kevin himself has previously served in the forces and has many friends still serving. He intends to complete the challenge of trekking 100km over eight days.
He’s paying for the flights, meals etc himself but needs to raise at least £1,000 by 1st August or he’ll will lose the money he’s already paid out and be unable to take part.
If you can help, however small, do pop over to Kevin’s Just Giving page.
