Last weekend, Mykki Smith came over to meet Sophie while she was back on the Island.
Mykki lives in Anzere in the Swiss Alps and recently ran 16 miles through the mountains to raise money for Sophie. Mykki was chuffed to bits to meet Sophie.
Coffee and cakes
Westview House ran a coffee morning in aid of Sophie.
All the staff donated £2 so they could wear purple, they made lots of lovely cakes and had a raffle.
More events coming up
There are also lots of events coming up this week. Live music in The Crispin Pub. 9 bands playing from 2pm in aid of Sophie on Saturday.
Don’t forget the Wild West Family Party at Downside Learning and Community Centre, Furrlongs, Newport on Saturday 25th August starting at 6.30pm.
Cowboys, Cowgirls, Indians and Squaws, Gunslingers, Sheriffs and Saloon Girls, Live Band, Line Dancing, Fresh Grub and Bar, Bouncy castle, Bucking Bronco and other fun stuff, fancy dress Optional, prize for the best dressed girl and boy. Tickets are; Adults £6 and Children £3.
Happy birthday Sophie
Yesterday the family had a private birthday party for Sophie (Sophie will be five this week) and her cousin Leonie (who was 21).
Cinderella (Debbie Hayward) came along to do make-up, face painting, tattoos etc… to make the day a little bit special for Sophie and her friends.
I know the family would like to say a big thank you to Debbie.
