The Ventnor Fringe Festival is now into day three and if you haven’t checked out any of the events on offer yet, why not? This only happens once a year, don’t miss your chance.
The Long Room at the Ventnor Winter Gardens is hosting a number of shows over the coming days. Here are details of just two.
I Hooky
I HOOKY is an hour-long, two-man, frantic and darkly comic quest between Olly Fry and the maniacal mad creation of JM Barrie’s Captain James Hook.
Our mission, to remember the point where we leave behind childhood forever. Contains strong language, awfully acted death scenes and a disgustingly cute ending.
The show takes place at 6.30pm on 11th and 12th August in The Long Room, Ventnor Winter Gardens.

Tickets are priced at £8 each (or two for one with Fringe Friends) and available online or from the Exchange and on the door.
The show is 60 minutes and suitable for 16s and over.
Navy Knickers and Nicked TVs
On Saturday, Joan Ellis and Donna Jones will be taking up residence in the Long Room for their show Navy Knickers and Nicked TVs.
Join THEM 2, Joan Ellis and Donna Jones MBE, on a mad, bad journey through lives littered with spelling tests, smear tests, mad mums, bad boyz, navy knickers and nicked TVs.
THEM 2: acclaimed poet, artist Donna Jones MBE, and 5* author, broadcaster Joan Ellis, fled to the Island following sell-out shows in London, Barnsley and Benidorm. Shy and retiring, the pair can be heard a mile off at spoken word events, literary festivals and on radio shows.
Navy Knickers and Nicked TVs takes place on Saturday 13th August between 7-8.30pm.
Tickets are £6.50 each or Fringe Friends two for one. Book online or at the Ventnor Exchange.
