Quay Arts presents Maria Korsnes, Hagit Yakira, Portia Winters and Tal Jakubowiczova in LEAHS Evening next month.
LEAHS is an evening of work by four female artists working around the theme of femininity and womanhood.
It is an intimate and personal dialogue between voice and movements, expressing a sensation of femininity, women’s relationships to themselves and their observers.
Choreographers and musicians from Norway, Israel and the UK collaborate to deal with the archetype of womanhood.
Hagit Yakira, a dancer and choreographer whose work is innovative, atmospheric and abstract in nature is joined by Laban Master choreographer, Maria Korsnes also a trained Cecchetti ballet and contemporary dancer and Tal Jakubowiczova, a physical theatre artist trained in ‘acting for theatre’ with extensive street, fringe theatre and festival experience. Vocalist, Portia Winters mesmerises with her delicate vocal style.
