Austerity – is it working? We are constantly being told that the economy is recovering and that the cuts are working.
I would like to ask are our public services being cut too far?
In the last couple of weeks we’ve seen passport delays; in another report on the Internet, redundant prison officers are being called back on short-term contracts to cover shortages; on the national news the Select Committee for flooding advised that more investment is needed; not forgetting the Academies and the Free Schools failing.
So does austerity really work or are we being hoodwinked?
