Letter: Calling out IW MP for perceived double standards on social media

News OnTheWight always welcomes a Letter to the Editor to share with our readers – unsurprisingly they don’t always reflect the views of this publication. If you have something you’d like to share, get in touch and of course, your considered comments are welcome below.

This from a reader who has asked for their name and address to be witheld. Ed

I have been following  our MP, Bob Seely’s Twitter account.

It seems to me that Bob is more interested in promoting  what he perceives the faults of the opposition.

The point I am trying to make is, should he not be promoting his own ideas and policies. In my view, this sums up the fact Bob has no credible plan.

Double standards
In Bob’s tweets he claims victory on a Mayoral Election with less than 50% of the vote. Now he previously voted on a policy that when unions go on strike they need to get more 50% of the vote to be mandated. Double standards I think.

Double standards
Bob also claims yet again to be behind the Prime Minister at the moment according to one of his tweets. Let’s see how long that last with his previous record.

Both Bob and Rishi call the opposition leader for flip flopping, but again double standards.

Failed to hit the targets
Bob’s party have consistently failed to hit the targets that him and his party set in the last 14 years.

Bob, enough is enough stop and think about your tweets. They are not clever and very childish. Start looking after all the Islanders.
