On Thursday two off-road type ‘quad bike’ vehicles came swerving at high speed into the cul de sac where I live in Upper Ventnor.
Each was driven at high speed while the drivers randomly sprayed chemicals (Glyphosate?) vaguely in the direction of the kerbs as they sped by.
Had to jump out of the way
I was on the pavement and had to jump out of the spray, but still got a dose of a smelly liquid, with an oily taste on my tongue, which didn’t leave my lungs for about an hour.
They spun around at the top of the road and returned still at high speed.
Reckless and dangerous
In my view there was no precaution taken for children animals or adults.
They missed most of the weeds and sprayed only the road tarmac anyway. Recklessly and dangerous, but great fun for the drivers it seems.
