As for knowledge towards the name of an Englishman, whose illustrated portrait can always be accessed to those who have in their possession a ten-pound note, a film that tells the story of the writing of a book, that almost inevitably would have an incredible affect on the human consciousness; ‘The Origin of The Species’: ‘Creation’ is really worth seeing. Although the level of acting and attention to detail is excellent all round, ‘Creation’ does explain in some way a considerable amount about all round good chap and hero – Mr. Darwin.
Staggeringly beautiful film
What is interesting and fascinating with the film ‘Creation’ is that it simply holds up as a beautiful film, staggeringly affective to emotions and enlightening in a totally unexpected way.
In some ways Darwin’s understanding and learning of nature and dedication to his work and research over some 40 years, would also explain and reveal a great deal about nature – the reasons why ‘The Origin of The Species’ would succeed as a work.
Yet ‘Creation’ surprises towards its timing and using some of the Darwin’s knowledge and writing achieves something original in its wake, as to not only what Charles Darwin was writing but what he was personally experiencing and therefore, director Jon Amiel himself combines the two.
The theory of evolution and evolving for animals, plants and even some humans over staggering lengths of time will always be debated or accepted, but a film that suggests that what Darwin actually discovered and a new light on what he simply wrote within ‘The Origin of The Species’ could be well worth some serious consideration and this would seem to be the excellent and well-made purpose of ‘Creation’.
