Director Arie Posin has at his base, a strong enough understanding to have directed a marginally interesting movie focusing on the subject towards American suburbia and events that intertwine. Sadly that’s about it.
Thinking that even the recognisable and extremely talented stars that act out various characters is really quite a painful experience to watch.
Not impressed
For the most fascinating aspect of ‘The Chumscrubber’ is the title and fairly little else.
For once, comparative reviews for the film regard it worthy to write; ‘David Lynch with a big happy smile.’ Or even ‘splendidly cynical.’ These words seem to have been taken either out of context entirely, or refer to another movie entirely.

There is not a single frame that would be comparable to America’s finest filmmaker. Although well filmed and showing a considerable cast, this is an Independent film that is entirely suspicious for reaching a green light at all.
A great shame really, when considering the strength and profoundness that often is achieved through Independent filmmakers the world over. Move along now move along, there’s really nothing to see here.
