As VB reported last week, library workers across the Island will be taking strike action today.
Pickets will be set up outside all libraries between 10am and 12pm, except Ventnor, which will be 2pm-3.30pm.
The workers are taking the action to protest against the drastic cuts to the library service being voted on at the full council meeting tonight.
Campaigners against the cuts are calling on Island residents to show their support for their local library workers by attending the picket line today.
Demo at Lord Louis
There will also be a demonstration outside the Lord Louis Library from 4pm which will march to County Hall for the 5pm rally outside the council buildings.
The full council meeting starts at 6pm sharp.
If you’re unable to attend, VB will be covering it live, as we have done for the last four years.
