Six seaplanes plan to make a commemorative flypast around the Solent on 13 September 2011 from 12 noon – 2pm in recognition of the 80th anniversary of the last Schneider Trophy Contest in 1931 at which Britain won the Schneider Trophy outright.
The flight has been organised by Capt. John Russell who owns Cessna 182 seaplane G-ESSL and oftens flies this aircraft in our area for water landings.
