Anyone who lives within a five mile radius of the Ventnor Winter Gardens and fancies themselves as a bit arty or crafty, entry forms are now available for the 2009 MacNaughton Howe Arts and Craft Exhibition.
The MacNaughton Howe Exhibition takes place each May at the Ventnor Winter Gardens and this year is the 52nd exhibition.
There are all manner of classes to enter from tapestry work to photography, model making to needlework, computer generated pictures to knitting or crochet. In fact there are 79 classes in total.
The quality of some of the entries is absolutely stunning and if you don’t fancy trying your hand at something, it’s always worth a look.
Brenda Harman takes over as Chairman this year following the sad loss of Brenda Lawson last summer. We understand that there will be a special ‘Brenda Lawson Trophy’ which will be awarded in the children’s section in honour of Brenda’s tireless work for the community.
You’ll need to register by 11 May and the exhibition takes place Thursday 14th May – Friday 15th. Forms can be found in shops around Ventnor.
