Vote For Your Favourite Bohemian Beard (photo gallery)

Readers may remember we highlighted a Bohemian Beard Competition that Dimbola Museum and Galleries were running back in February (and quickly picked up by the BBC).

Bohemian KeelDuring April, eight of the shortlisted nominees had their portrait made with Julia Margaret Cameron’s technique of Wet Plate Collodion by Karen Grainger, the Trust’s Resident Historic Processes Photographer and Curator of the Permanent Collection.

This is a hand-made process using a liquid negative formula poured onto a glass plate for each exposure.
