Cafe Scientifique returns to the Isle of Wight tonight at the Fighting Cocks Pub at 7pm.
This month’s speaker is Mark Earp, who owns Kitbridge Farm and many years ago found he had Great Crested Newts in his ponds.
Since then he has made a detailed study of amphibians and has become a knowledgeable herpetologist.
He will be talking about “The Amphibians of the Isle of Wight- ‘An Ancient Past, Uncertain Future'”
Cafe Scientifique evenings are free, but it is customary to ask participants at the end of the evening for a donation towards the cost of the speaker’s meal and/or travel expenses.
