The Isle of Wight is set to host a special event celebrating the significant contributions of women to its history tonight (Thursday 18th July).
Medina Bookshop in Cowes will welcome author Susanna Hoe for the launch of her latest book, The Isle of Wight: Women, History, Books and Places.
This event marks the sixth instalment in Hoe’s series, “Of Islands and Women,” which has previously explored the unique stories of women from Madeira, Crete, Tasmania, Malta, and Sardinia.
Hoe’s new book promises to offer a comprehensive and fascinating account of the remarkable women who have shaped the history of the Isle of Wight.

The book launch event will take place from 6pm to 8pm at Medina Bookshop, located at 50 High Street, Cowes, PO31 7RR.
