Thanks To Alex Mann from the Musician’s Union for sending through this call out to all MU members on the Wight. Following this meeting at Ryde Theatre, will be the last Making Waves of the season and possibly ever (at Ryde Theatre). If you can, do go along and show your support. Ed
Calling all MU members on the Isle of Wight
The East & South East region would like to invite all MU members living and working on the Isle of Wight to an open meeting, due to take place on Thursday 4th September at Ryde Theatre.
The meeting will feature a presentation and Q&A session hosted by Paul Burrows and Alex Mann of the East & South East region of the MU, and will also give members on the island a chance meet MU officials face to face and discuss issues relating to any aspect of their working lives as musicians.
As a bonus, members attending the meeting will be given priority access to ‘Making Waves’ a live music event at Ryde Theatre which takes place after the meeting. Members will be welcome to stick around and enjoy performances from Hugo Frusslinky, Fatal, The Chancers and more.
We’d like to offer our thanks to MU member Rick Stanbridge, who has been instrumental in helping us to put this event together.
The meeting will start at 5pm, finishing around 7.30. Non MU members are also welcome, so do spread the word. More details below:
