The Met Office have just (Sunday morning) issued a weather warning for snow and ice for the Isle of Wight.
Valid from 9.52am to 1pm, the warning reads:
A mixture of rain and snow showers are moving onshore across Dorset, Hampshire and Isle of Wight.
With surfaces below freezing, this is leading to a combination of patchy ice, as well as a few centimetres of snow, particularly over higher ground inland.
Showers will clear east this afternoon.
What to expect
- Some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services
- Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths
- Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces
You can stay up to date with the weather warning by visiting the Met Office Website.
