VB readers will remember that at the beginning of June, Michelle set herself the challenge of cycling solo and unsupported from the Isle of Wight to Ireland (and back), covering 600 miles.
Michelle has raised over £2,000 so far, and as part of her Ireland cycle ride, the Vectis Sunrise Rotary Club have donated £250 to help her raise money for the Wessex Cancer Trust.
Michelle says “I am very grateful to the many people who have helped sponsor me in lots of ways and my total money raised to date is £2,193.79 of which almost £1,900 will benefit Isle of Wight residents.”
Continuing with the fundraising
Michelle has other cycling friends one of whom lost his 36 year old wife to Myeloma, an incurable cancer, in 2011.
Michelle’s intention is to carry on supporting these friends raising money to fight the disease during 2013.
Well done Michelle, great work!
