After an absence from Sandown for a few years, the Spamfield microlight party came back to visit.
Organised by the Isle of Wight Flying Club and Hampshire Microlight Flying Club, the annual event, which attracts microlights from all over the UK, is also an opportunity to raise funds for charity – this year the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance and the BMAA(British Microlight Aircraft Association) Foundation.

Microlight manufacturers P&M Aviation launched their newest model at Sandown on Saturday – the Quik Lite, a single seat microlight with high performance and low cost.
The photo above shows Bill Brooks, Chief Designer at P&M, Daryl Cornelius and Sandra Reid of HMFC and Robin Kraike, P&M design engineer and test pilot.
Thanks were extended to Mark Patterson from Munch Bunch, who provided the event’s catering.
