The Nurses at the Earl Mountbatten Hospice are preparing to celebrate one year of compassionate and dedicated caring to its patient’s homes.
The Mountbatten Nurses have gone from strength to strength in helping provide reassuring care for patients in the past year – working in partnership with the MacMillan Team and the Hospice at Home Team, to provide something that can only be considered no less than exceptional in terms of supporting patients round the clock, physically and emotionally.
To commemorate the incomparable care the Nurses provide and to remember loved ones who were under their care, the Hospice is holding a Remembrance Afternoon in the admirable ‘Field of Memories’ in Newchurch.
Background on Mountbatten service
The Mountbatten Nursing service came into being on the 1st April 2010, incorporating the Marie Curie Nursing Team based at the Hospice with the Nursing team.
The Earl Mountbatten Hospice and the Nursing Service would like to thank all of its loyal supporters for helping achieve this goal in the past year, and whilst the Nursing Service is partly funded by the NHS, without the people’s support they wouldn’t be where they are today.
