Today is the first of November, which means it’s the start of the annual Movember campaign, raising awareness for prostate cancer.
We’re sure that many of you will be taking part in the month-long challenge to grow a moustache and raise money for research into prostate cancer.
The campaign was created way back in 2003 in Australia and has now spread across 21 countries. It’s intended as a fun way to raise awareness for the killer cancer by changing “changing the face of men’s health, one moustache at a time”.
Mo Bro
One Islander who is intending to take part is Jake Elsley from Newport.
He’s already set up his page on the MoBro website and posted his first photo, sans moustache.
We’ll be keeping an eye on his progress over the month and hopefully see his donations rise as the weeks move on.
