This week’s national rail strikes will not affect passengers of Islandline Trains on the Isle of Wight, Stagecoach confirmed to OnTheWight this morning.
On the mainland, RMT members will be striking in a dispute over pay and jobs for 24 hours from 5pm Thursday 4th June and then again for 48 hours from 5pm on Tuesday 9 June 2015.
For more detail of how the strike will affect passengers on South West trains, visit their Website.
Southern Vectis say they’re preparing for extra demand, but with the Islandline train line working as usual during the strike period, we’re not sure they’ll be seeing any more passengers than normal.
Update 1.10:
The RMT strike has now been called off.
