Networking and technology company Navigate Solutions LLP have acquired Island Telecom, following many years of working together.
Dave Ward, previously director of Island Telecom, now Director of Telecoms at Navigate Solutions saw the benefit of the deal, “Having worked in partnership with Navigate for several years I thought it a logical decision for Island Telecom to be incorporated full time with them.”
Paul Wood, Managing Director Navigate Solutions was clearly impressed with Island Telecom, “We quickly realised that Island Telecom was the most experienced and most professional installer of telephone systems and cabling on the Island.”
Coming together for the future
With the coming together of telephony and computer networks, through the use of IP (Internet Protocol), it makes total sense for the two companies to join forces.
The new combined group will be run from Navigate’s Newport office in St Cross Business Park, where they are clients of the Isle of Wight Enterprise Hub.
Island Telecom has an extensive client base on the Island covering NHS Trust to over 40 schools and Island Businesses from Hovertravel to Isle of Wight Radio.
MD Paul Wood is confident of the posibilities of the combined company, “The new group will now be a main competitor to BT on the Island with the ability to provide solutions to IT and telecoms requirements with just one call.”
It’s pleasing to hear that not only will there be no staff losses, but the company are expecting to be recruiting in the near future.
