Newport Annual Parish Council Meeting

Tonight sees the Annual Parish Council Meeting of Newport Parish Council.

Expect to hear Annual reports from councillors, as well as a presentation from guest speaker Ray Harrington-Vail of the Footprint Trust.

Ray will be talking about energy conservation.

We understand that there’ll be an open session at the end of the meeting to raise any points you wish to make to the parish council.

It takes place at the Parish Centre, Town Lane Newport at 7pm.

good to see Ray H-V giving his expert advice- shame that unlike, Newport P C, the larger tory IWC has failed significantly to meaningfully implement many of the cost saving energy measures he has long advised in practice.

What about the dog and cat poo on your patch.
I write to councillors, Town and IWC and no replies. Pull your fingers out. Less talk and more action.

Don, are you from newport? if so from what you say i take it you have contacted Newport PC about this. Being a Councillor from NPC i would very much like to know when you have contacted us, so i can look into why nothing has been done.

I have contacted the Councilor for Mount joy and Shirley many times – You only see them at election time; useless.

I honesty feel that Town Councils are just a meeting place for a chin-wag.In my humble opinion, a waste of tax payers money.
