Regular readers will remember back in July carried a story about Newport Parish Council signing up to the 10:10 Agreement.
Next month, on 9th October at 10.10am to be precise, the parish council will launch their 10:10 campaign.
St Thomas’ Square in Newport is the location for the launch of the scheme to cut carbon by 10% in one year, starting in 2010.
Cutting carbon by 10% in one year is a bold target, but for most of us it’s an achievable one, and is in line with what scientist say we need right now.
On the 9th, you can sign up to the challenge and get tips from experts on how to help make a difference.
There’ll also be free T-shirts for the first ten 10 year old children who get their family to sign up.
