Newport Post Office has re-opened on Wednesday at a new location – Central Convenience, 129 High Street.
This has restored Post Office services to the area after the resignation of the previous operator at 43-51 Pyle Street in February 2021.
Services
There are two Post Office counters alongside the retail counter of the convenience store.
The opening hours are: Monday to Saturday: 6am – 10pm; Sunday: 7am – 10pm.
This will provide 111 hours of Post Office service a week for the convenience of customers.

Graham Brander, Post Office Network Provision Manager, said,
“We are delighted to have restored a Post Office to Newport as we know how important a Post Office is to a community.
“The branch’s opening hours will make it very convenient for customers to visit.”
