Nick Martin’s Blue Eyed Boys

Blue Eyed Boys: Nick Martin Whilst we were rushing around Newport at the weekend for the Minghella Movie Marathon, we happened to bump into Island artist Nick Martin, who currently has an exhibition at Quay Arts.

We have a interview coming up soon on VB but wanted to remind readers of the exhibition which runs until 4th April.

If you happen to be in Newport make sure you take some time out to pop along to see the work of this Ryde artist.

The paintings, all of men with blue eyes and beards (more to come on that later) are absolutely stunning.

In fact even if you’re not planning to be in Newport, it’s well worth the visit anyway.

You can sample some of Martin Cutler’s excellent food in the cafe whilst you’re there.

Podcast with Nick Martin to follow shortly.

Looks a bit home-made? Not actually a proper aircraft. Still, glad they walked away.

This is a Microlight. They do seem to have a flimsy construction.
This is sad as it appears it has only recently been acquired.
