Nick Percy to represent Great Britain in discus at 2024 Olympic Games

Bonchurch’s champion discus thrower, Nick Percy, has been selected to represent Team GB as part of the Athletics team for the 2024 Olympic Games.

The Games take place in Paris between 26th July and 11th August 2024.

Born in Scotland, Nick grew up in Bonchurch on the Isle of Wight. He has previously won a silver medal at the 2013 European Junior Championships and also represented Great Britain at the 2017 World Championships.

He went on to become British champion for the fifth time when winning the discus throw event at the 2022 British Athletics Championships with a throw of 65.00 metres.

Ranked No.2
Nick’s personal best in the event is 67.73 metres, was set at the Oklahoma Throws Series, Ramona, Oklahoma, USA, earlier this year. His personal best was improved by more than two metres and his ranking from jumped from No.10 to No.2 on the UK all-time list.
