Pupils from Niton Primary School made a visit to Downing Street last week to personally deliver research they have collected as part of a project looking into the importance of sub-Post Offices in the rural community.
As reported in the County Press on 17 Jan, the pupils have been collecting their research by interviewing customers of the Post Office and considering the impact of its closure.
When Josie Clark, form teacher for year four pupils read of the possible closure of Niton Sub Post Office as part of the government plans to close 2,500 post offices in the County Press, she discussed it with her pupils and they all decided that they should write to Tony Blair.
