The Vectis Radio Community Awards 2025 are being held on Friday 28th March at Caffe Isola in Newport, but the window of opportunity to enter closes at Midnight on Friday 24th January.
The awards are to honour, celebrate and promote the great work that community and charity organisations do on the Isle of Wight.
Entries are free and are being invited from any Island-based community or charity organisation. There are various categories including nominating individuals who have stood out in fundraising or as a volunteer.
The full list of the awards categories is:
- Community Project Of The Year
- New Community Project/Organisation Of The Year
- Most Inspirational Person in the Community
- Animal Focused Community Project/ Organisation Of The Year
- People Focused Community Project/Organisation Of The Year
- Island Based International Project/Organisation Of The Year
- Charity Fund raiser Of The Year
- Volunteer Of The Year
Organisations can by nominated by anyone or they can self-nominate.
Event organiser Maggie Currie said,
“I’m happy to say that we have received a good number of entries for this year’s awards, but I would hate to think that some organisations miss out on a chance to win an accolade because they were too late to enter.
“Please get your entries in now. Our panel of independent judges are eagerly awaiting your submissions.”
She added,
“We are incredibly grateful to Caffe Isola for sponsoring this event.”
