Nominate your favourite Isle of Wight charity for Red Funnel’s charity of 2022

Applications to become Red Funnel’s Charity of the Year 2022 have officially opened.

Charities supporting the Isle of Wight community are encouraged to apply for the chance to be named Red Funnel’s charity partner for the forthcoming year.

Three charities make it through to a public vote
While the company supports scores of charities across the Island, through both donations and free travel support, the company has focused its annual fundraising initiatives to support a single chosen charity.

Following a shortlist process and voting amongst Red Funnel employees, three charities ultimately make it through to a public vote, where the charity with the most votes will be awarded the official title.

Collins: Look forward to getting behind the charity the public chooses
Fran Collins, Chief Executive of Red Funnel, said,

“2022 will mark the eighth year that we have offered the Charity of the Year scheme. In that time, we have raised over £300,000 thanks to the support and generosity of our customers and have had the great honour to work with some brilliant charities.

“The past 18 months have been particularly challenging and made it harder than ever for charities to raise funds, with many having to find new and innovative ways to encourage fundraising online – so it’s more important now than ever before to play our part in supporting our local causes. No matter what the outcome of this year’s vote, we look forward to getting behind the charity the public chooses and helping to make a difference in 2022.”

Nominate today
Red Funnel will announce the shortlist for its Charity of the Year 2022 in January, at which point the public will be invited to vote for their chosen winner from a list of three shortlisted charities.

The closing date for entries is 31st December 2021.
