Ventnor’s Own, Ergo Phizmiz will be launching a new album tonight up in the ‘big smoke’.
“Nose Points in Different Directions: Ergo Phizmiz 2001-2006”, a selection of choice cuts from the output of Mr Phiz over this period is released today on Womb Records. 14 tracks of multicoloured audio lunacy, including ‘Pangolin’, ‘Chop Sue Me’, ‘The BBC Have Their Say’, and ‘SymphonieVum’, all remastered for optimum sound quality.
The launch party is being held 12 Bar Club, Denmark St, London, with performances from DJ Reach & Roger Species (8.30 – 9.00), Spinmaster Plantpot (9.15 – 9.30), The Bobby Mcgees (9.45 – 10.15) and Ergo Phizmiz (10.30 – 11.00), sprinkled with DJ sets from Codex Machine.

Alongside this release Womb are also putting out a limited edition of the Ergo Phizmiz & his Orchestra “Arff & Beef” / “White Light White Heat” releases, including Ergo’s acclaimed covers of 90s pop songs and the entirety of the Velvet Underground’s second album, all re-arranged for banjoes, kazoos, accordions, etc. Looking forward to sampling this very soon.
