Not long now until the Guinness World Record attempt for the longest football match by East Cowes Victoria AFC.
The challenge has been officially accepted and recognised by the Guinness Book of World Records and will take place between 4th-7th May 2012.
Members of the public are encouraged to go along and show their support for the challenge which will see a continuous football match of over 60 hours.
Sponsors are being sought
Not surprisingly as this is a fundraiser, organisers are seeking sponsors of all kinds to support this event.
Over the course of the event there’ll be stalls and live entertainment during the day and night. On top of that, a raffle draw and auction of football memorabilia will be held on the last day of the event.
