As we picked up on today, there were rumours flying that Oasis might play the IW Festival.
We’ve been chatting to our buddies at Virtual Festivals to get the exact low down.
It’s less that crystal clear, so bear with us.
At the Oasis press conference this afternoon, the IOW Festival WASN’T confirmed … but it also wasn’t denied – those tricky little Manc scamps.
As Virtual Festivals pointed out to us, “they announced two Wembley shows and two shows at Heaton Park, Manchester. They’ll also play Cardiff, Sunderland and Edinburgh but the Saturday and Sunday of the IOW Festival remain free, so it looks likely (according to our source) that they’ll still appear there.”
