With just four weeks to go until the Isle of Wight Film Festival hits the streets of Ventnor, On the Wight is proud to present another British Première.
As well as sponsoring the British premières of award-winning Norwegian film, Vegas and award-winning Dutch film, Dusk, the last day of the Film Festival sees the British Première of The Year Dolly Parton Was My Mom.
The feature film was directed by Canadian, Tara Johns and tells the story of Elizabeth Alison Gray.
Poignant, coming of age film
She’s an average suburban 11-year old waiting for adolescence to arrive when she finds out her whole life has been a lie.
With only her imagination to guide her, she runs away to find the truth.
We reckon this coming-of-age film is a great addition to the 2012 Isle of Wight Film Festival which is being run in conjunction with the Ventnor Fringe Festival – set up and run by young people.
It will be screened at the Sacred Cinema on Saturday 18th August at 7pm. Tickets are just £5 available in advance from the online Box Office.
