Plastic Mermaids

Onwards and upwards for Island band Plastic Mermaids

Congratulations to Isle of Wight band, Plastic Mermaids, who have not only had recent radio play, but also included in Q Magazine’s “Five Songs To Hear This Week“.

Q Magazine says,

Isle of Wight’s Plastic Mermaids’ debut single Polaroids contains some of the most creatively deployed panning heard all year. Cinematic and gorgeously textural, this cut sounds like Mercury Rev going on a road trip with The Flaming Lips.

Yesterday Polaroids was played on Amazing Radio and given the title of Record of the Week by Gill Mills.

Onwards and upwards lads!
