Christ the King College is delighted to report on the outstanding successes of their A Level students for the second year running, building on and already surpassing last year’s impressive first set of A Level results.
The achievements of the young people, whom Mrs Pat Goodhead, Principal, described as “simply stunning”, mean that Christ the King College students are off to top universities across the United Kingdom and beyond.
Pat Goodhead said,
“A Level Results Day is about securing young people’s futures.
“I am extremely proud of all of our students and the staff who have supported them so well. We set ambitious and challenging targets for our students, work with them to develop their confidence and provide an ethos in which they can study and thrive. Whilst I am always hesitant about singling out individuals, as there have been so many success stories this year, well – deserved tributes should certainly be paid to the very high number of students securing places at Russell Group universities, just a selection of whom are mentioned below.

“I know that the Island community, like the College, will be very proud of these young people and all the others who have also achieved so well.”
Christ the King College’s A Level results reinforce Ofsted’s view that the College’s Sixth Form has been a remarkable success story, with a phenomenal growth in numbers from both within the College itself and across the Island.
This has enabled us to offer a wide range of subjects, carefully selected to ensure the young people follow mainly but not exclusively traditional academic pathways. It is this essential combination of students following appropriate courses with consistently good and outstanding teaching, all within such a strong and supportive community, that Pat Goodhead believes is contributing to the success of the Sixth Form.
Commenting on this year’s results, David Lisseter, Chair of Governors, said,
“My congratulations to all our students on their achievements and I wish them well for their futures.
“We now look forward with tremendous enthusiasm and excitement to welcoming the new sixth form joining us in September which will take our numbers to over 300, ensuring we can continue to provide a vibrant, viable and highly successful place of study for our Island young people who deserve no less.”
